Dear Calvin community, 

Throughout the last two weeks, Chimes has not published anything new about the resignation of former president Wiebe Boer. In times like these, we realize the community looks to journalists to bring to light information everyone is waiting for. We feel this responsibility strongly, and due to that fact, we want to ensure that everything we publish is ethical, accurate and airtight. Meeting these standards, especially given the sensitivity of the resignation, means that reporting will take time. Continue to rest assured that the Chimes staff (despite our full-time obligations as students, family members and employees in other spaces) are continuing to follow up on leads, investigate information we find and report what we do know. For example, our story about Title IX is an effort to potentially add context to the situation.
